Supporting Clients with Humanistic Counselling
What is Humanistic Counselling?
I am a counsellor specialising in humanistic counselling and registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (https://www.bacp.co.uk/therapists/408707/sally-hewetson/dorking-rh4). I have spent over 35 years in commercial property, raised a family with my husband and experienced a lifetime of facing my own challenges.
I offer my clients support and guidance, encouraging self-discovery and personal growth. Good mental health is vital for all of us, and spending committed time focussing on what is negatively impacting our lives can make a positive difference.
During counselling you spend time, giving yourself the space and environment to self-care. Together we can explore whatever issues are holding you back in life or making you unhappy. Working with me you will be heard, accepted, valued and understood.

Specialising in clients experiencing...

Anxiety
Depression
Health challenges
Loss and bereavement
Relationship difficulties
Low self-esteem
Trauma
Autism
Practice Room in Dorking
I work from a practice room just outside Dorking. The room is comfortable, peaceful and calm, in a garden setting where clients can unwind, relax and focus on themselves. There is easy, free car parking available.

Counselling is about giving you the time and space to understand you and your life better...
How do we start?
Our first session is an assessment giving us the opportunity to establish if it feels “right”. This allows us to understand your challenges and goals, and whether I have the skills to help. I will signpost you to other services if we agree you need alternative support. This session may take over an hour and it is free of charge.
What is the Cost?
The cost of a session is £50, but I am aware that this can be prohibitive for some people, so I do consider concessionary terms for individual clients who find this difficult.
Please WhatsApp, email or call me if you have any questions or wish to start counselling.
Then what?
My clients often have weekly sessions but this can be less frequent if you prefer. We typically meet in-person, or on-line. I am happy to use Microsoft Teams; and also happy to do sessions on the telephone. I try to accommodate times that works for busy lifestyles, and sessions are often afternoon or early evenings with each session lasting 50 minutes.
